What is Ask Quid?

Ask Quid is a conversational analytics tool powered by AI that allows you to analyze real-time consumer and market data in natural language. Ask Quid has foundational skills that allow it to:

  • Understand and respond using natural language

  • Access a knowledge base to help with your analytical tasks. For example, "Find all keywords similar to ink efficiency, set date to Black Friday in 2023"

  • Format data, such as "Put the data in a table"

  • Draw visualizations, such as "Draw a bar chart in grayscale"

What are Assistants?

Ask Quid has a collection of Assistants that are:

  • Designed to work with different types of consumer and market datasets

  • Equipped with the skills to reply to requests using real-time consumer and market data tuned to a particular type of data

  • Aware of the data schema of different data sets, which allows you to search and filter using those data fields

Ask Quid Assistants include the following:

  • Real-Time News and Social: Get real-time business intelligence by analyzing up to the last 30 days of social media and web news data.

  • Quid Monitor Topics: Access up to 27 months of data from any topic accessible to you through your Quid Monitor account.

  • Consumer Reviews: Analyze a Quid Monitor topic containing online reviews to understand customer feedback and stay competitive. Access to this dataset is a premium feature.

  • Earnings Calls: Analyze Fortune 500 Earnings call data to get insights on strategic direction and the financial performance of public companies. Access to this dataset is a premium feature.

  • News/Blogs (in Alpha release): Analyze up to 3 years of premium news and blogs data from LexisNexis to stay ahead of trends and make informed decisions.

Starting a Chat

After you log in, do one of the following to start a chat.

Start a Chat from Scratch

You can start a chat from scratch by selecting an Assistant, such as Real-Time News and Social. Ask Quid displays a chat field where you can ask the Assistant a question.

Start a Chat with an Example Prompt

To start a chat with an example prompt:

1. Click Prompt Library on the top navigation bar.

2. Select an Assistant in the left navigation bar.

3. Hover over the prompt you want to start with and click Start New Chat.

4. Customize the prompt and click Send.

Chatting with Ask Quid

Interacting with Ask Quid is as simple as chatting with the Assistant using natural language. Ask Quid retains the context of the conversation throughout the chat so you don't have to repeat anything when asking questions. Ask Quid also saves your chats across sessions so that you can access them in the future.

Providing Feedback

Hovering over a response displays thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons so that you can provide us feedback on the results. Clicking an icon displays a text box where you can enter details. Ask Quid automatically saves your query so you do not need to reenter the query in the Feedback text box. We are interested for feedback on whether Ask Quid interpreted your query well and whether the Ask Quid response met your needs. When rating summaries, rate them on speed, quality, and accuracy.
